We all face different challenges in life every day, but being prepared and making the right decisions could make an enormous difference, especially when it comes to emergencies and disasters. Sadly, many of us think that “this” is not going to happen to us, or it is not going to happen “yet”. Therefore, many people are not properly prepared for any emergent even or disaster.
We at Lingayen Fire Station, Pangasinan knowing the importance of being prepared not only individually but also the whole community, as of September 2012 this station have conducted 11 fire and earthquake drills, fire safety lectures on different schools and offices.
This includes the whole year round conduct of Fire Safety Inspection and Prevention to all establishment.
Disaster preparedness is integrated, it ensures unity among all levels of government and all elements of the community. It is coordinated, a synchronized activities of all relevant stakeholders to achieve a common purpose. It is collaborative, to create and sustain broad and sincere relationship among individuals and organizations to encourage trust, advocate a team atmosphere, build consensus, and facilitate communication.
“No one can whistle a symphony. It takes a whole orchestra to play it. ” To achieve a common goal, we actively participates to LGU, government organizations and other agencies programs and which involves emergency management.
